I have to admit that lately I have not had any faith at all in our government, Obamacrat or Republican and now after reading Peggy Noonan's latest column I think that I now understand why: We're Governed by Callous Children
We are governed at all levels by America's luckiest children, sons and daughters of the abundance, and they call themselves optimists but they're not optimists—they're unimaginative. They don't have faith, they've just never been foreclosed on. They are stupid and they are callous, and they don't mind it when people become disheartened. They don't even notice.
I would like to add that given this disengaged governance an entire class of American citizenry has been allowed to grow - millions - 47 Million at last count - that has come to rely entirely on the mindless, disinterested government for their existence. In some sense why should the rest of us care when millions of our "fellow" citizens don't?
