Half-baked and hasty at best, foolhardy and dangerous at worst, the UAE deal should not be rushed through Congress, nor should its paper clauses obscure the real regional dynamics behind the rush to nuclear power. The United States should take a hard look at nuclear energy and think about the implications of correcting climate change by actively promoting an energy source that can be made into humankind's deadliest weapon.
Interesting read, read the entire piece. Sadly, though, some good ideas end up mired in the "anti-nuclear" blather. Helping UAE go nuclear may not be a great idea, but going nuclear WILL help stem global warming, if it exists. The anti-nuke crowd is caught in a dilemma, they believe in the global warming myth, they have no new ideas how to power the world without fossil fuels, yet they cannot bring themselves to accept the best alternative - nuke power. It really sucks to be ignorant and stupid!
