Electing a President

I once wrote in an essay,
The trick was not electing a black president, that was inevitable. No, the trick was electing the right black president.
And I will say, pun intended - "right," as in instead of an Obama we need a Condolezza Rice. In November America went to the polls in record numbers and voted for "Hope and Change." The first half-black President was elected - a card carrying member of an Identity Group. Americans elected less an individual and more a Group Identity. So far there has been a lot of change and very little hope. If I were to apply a label to our current president (small case) it would be Socialist Thug. Like Hugo Chavez, his new mentor, Obama care really nothing about the American people and more about how well he looks in front of a camera. And, like for Chavez, millions of Americans faun over Obama - I don't understand!! When he talks he says nothing, but does so in soaring - as in Airy - tones. When one studies leadership there are a number of types of leaders - Obama fits into the Cult Leader category. He has an almost messianic hold on his followers - Think Jim Jones.

So far I have not heard or seen anything new and original about Obama's plan for America - it mirrors that of other socialist countries - Cuba, Venezuela, Moveon.org. The only difference is that now the Obama controls Congress - and it would appear to be veto proof. Obamocrats will be able to do a lot of damage to this country in the next two years.

Electing Obama was no big deal - the time was right - unfortunately the choice was wrong!
